Franck Batimba | Founder / Director
Franck, is a mentor, motivational speaker and, an award-winning and highly experienced basketball coach, who started 'Positive Role Models', so that he could empower young people to be successful in education and in life.
An avid Liverpool FC supporter, former semi-professional basketball player, current 'Head of basketball' at Haringey Sixth Form College and 'Head Coach' at Haringey Hawks Basketball club, Franck understands the important relationship between playing sport and having success in education and in life.
As 'Head Coach' of Haringey Hawks, Franck has amassed numerous coaching victories over the years, which include the 2018-2019 and 2019-2020, U18 National Cup wins as well as taking home gold, at the 2019 London Youth Games.
Franck's hard work and commitment to supporting young people via Positive Role Models, has not gone unnoticed and in 2019 he was awarded 'Volunteer of the Year' at the prestigious 'London Sport Awards' and 'Coach of the Year' at the 2019 Haringey Sport Awards.
In 2020, Franck was nominated for ITVs 'National Diversity Award' in the 'Positive Role Model' category and won 'Volunteer of the Year', at the Bridge Renewal Trust's 'Community Impact Awards'.
Franck is a member of the IAG (Independent Advisory Group) for the Metropolitan Police and in 2021, he appeared on a billboard in Tottenham Hale in honour of his work with the youth.
Chelcie is an award-winning and highly experienced marketing professional with over 15years experience in brand marketing and holds a BA with honours and an MBA.
Having worked with brands such as MOBO Awards, Rubicon, the Afro Hair and Beauty Show and representing destinations such as Saint Lucia and The British Virgin Islands, Chelcie has a wealth of marketing experience across many industries.
Prior to 'Positive Role Models' Chelcie's youth-work experience includes, working on the British government's anti-knife campaign, supporting the Children's orphanage in Saint Lucia and child sponsorship in the Dominican Republic.

Annick Batimba | Director
Annick holds a BA, MSc and MA, and has over 25 years of coaching and youth work experience. A qualified basketball coach, referee and table official, Annick has played competitive basketball at national league level and was twice selected for the England Basketball All-Star team to represent the South.
Currently a youth work manager for a London local authority, Annick is passionate about using sport as a tool to create, educate and support. Having qualified as a trainer in Education through Sport with the International Sport and Culture Association (ISCA), Annick recognises the impact that basketball can have on individuals. She often attributes her success in life to the sport.
